The weekend was very good. Seeing my friend, relieving saudades and chatting for all the months we were apart: is there anything better? Among the various cliché tours we did – Piccadilly, Portobello Market, Camden and so on – on Sunday we decided to see the city on wheels. We rented the Boris bikes and travelled 4 miles from Tower Bridge to Westminster. Always frightened and with very rusty cycling skills, I gained a bunch of aches in the arms. Yes, the arms, such was the tension I was holding to the handlebar. Besides that, I feel pain due to the saddle and made a mighty bruise on my right leg (probably gained in one of the times I almost run over people). Apart from that, we had great fun and are already planning another cycling tour on Saturday. As long as we don’t cycle on busy roads, it’s fine by me.
